Unbeaten team meets winless foe

Preview: Incarnate Word, in its sixth season as a Division I program, is the fifth opponent the No. 14 Gophers will play for the first time this season. Minnesota, which is 7-0 for the second consecutive season and the fourth time in program history, is coming off a 67-50 home victory over Air Force on Sunday. Incarnate Word, which is in San Antonio and a member of the Southland Conference, is 0-8 after a 97-49 loss to UT-Arlington on Sunday.

Players to watch: Cardinals F Lunden Henry, a 6-1 junior, is averaging 8.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. F Starr Omozee, a 5-10 freshman is averaging 8.6 points and 6.3 rebounds. G Imani Robinson, a 5-11 junior and a preseason All-Southland choice, is averaging 8.4 points. G Angelica Wiggins, a 5-9 junior and the sister of Wolves player Andrew Wiggins, averages 7.6 points. Senior G Kenisha Bell, who leads the Gophers in scoring (21.3 points per game), had 27 points and six steals, both season highs, and a pair of assists in the victory over Air Force. Junior F Taiye Bello has had 18 rebounds in each of the Gophers' past two games. Bello, who leads Division I with 14.9 rebounds per game, has had 18 rebounds in a game three times this season and 19 once.

Numbers: Cardinals coach Christy Smith played two seasons in the WNBA (1998 and 1999). Bell is the only Gopher to reach double figures in scoring every game this season. The Gophers are seventh in the nation in scoring defense (50.4 points per game).
