Preview: The Gophers (11-8, 2-4 Big Ten) have won two of their past three games against Iowa (12-7, 3-3). Last year they beat the Hawkeyes 78-76 at Williams Arena on a last-second three-pointer by Rachel Banham. Minnesota is coming off a 78-50 rout of Illinois on Wednesday. Iowa beat Rutgers 71-59 on Tuesday for its first Big Ten road win.

Players to watch: Gophers junior guard Carlie Wagner has scored 38 and 25 points in her past two games and is averaging a team-high 19.6 points per game. Bryanna Fernstrom, a 6-5 junior center, averages 8.0 rebounds on a team that is sixth nationally at 46.1 rebounds per game. Iowa's Megan Gustafson, a 6-3 sophomore, averages 17.5 points and 9.7 rebounds, both team highs.

Numbers: Minnesota gave up a season-low 50 points to the Illini and committed only 12 turnovers, the Gophers' second-lowest total this season. The Hawkeyes rank second in the Big Ten and 13th nationally in assists per game (18.1). They shot a season-high 62.5 percent against Rutgers.
