The Gophers women's basketball team announced a sixth member of its incoming recruiting class Wednesday.

Maryia "Masha" Adashchyk, a 5-11 guard and junior college transfer from Panola (Texas) College signed a National Letter of Intent.

Originally form Minsk, Belarus, Adashchyk averaged 12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals in two seasons at Panola — including an explosion for 50 points in her final game there.

"Masha brings our team a tremendous ability to score, rebound and defend at a very high level," head coach Lindsay Whalen said in a news release. "Bringing two years of experience at the collegiate level will only benefit our team this season."

Adashchyk joins Grace Cumming, Jasmine Powell, Justice Ross, Sara Scalia and Klarke Sconiers — five recruits who signed in November — as the incoming class of 2019.
