Gophers at a glance: The Gophers (3-1) head into the second leg of their three-game homestand with some momentum after what coach Pam Borton called a "statement win" over previously unbeaten Kansas on Wednesday. Redshirt freshman center Amanda Zahui B. posted only the fourth triple-double in program history after picking up 11 points, 11 rebounds and a team-record 10 blocks against the Jayhawks. Senior forward Micaëlla Riché scored 20 points, teaming with Zahui B. to give the Gophers what Borton said could be the best post tandem in the Big Ten. … Junior guard Rachel Banham scored a game-high 26 points against the Jayhawks and needs 19 points to move into 12th place on the Gophers' all-time scoring list. She leads Minnesota with 18.8 points per game. … The Gophers are shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 51.5 percent from three-point range.

Navy at a glance: The Mids (4-1) are playing a Big Ten team for the first time. And they have some momentum of their own after drubbing Oral Roberts 89-64 on the road Friday, their second consecutive double-digit win. Their lone defeat was by three points at Iona. … This will be a homecoming for Lakeville South's Jade Geif. A 6-0 forward, Geif leads the team in rebounding (8.3) and is second in scoring (11.6). She was a first-team all-Patriot League selection a year ago.

The Gophers played with more urgency, but it wasn’t enough to keep them from another conference sweep, and they lost LJ Mooney to injury in the process.
