Gophers sophomore Shane Wiskus was chosen the winner of his second consecutive Big Ten gymnast of the year award Monday. He shared the award with Nebraska's Anton Stephenson.

Wiskus, from Mound Westonka High School, competed in each of Minnesota's regular-season meets this season and competed all-around six times. He recorded 16 total event titles, four in the all-around, and 30 podium finishes.

Wiskus owns each the Gophers' top season scores on floor (14.550), rings (14.350), parallel bars (14.900) and high bar (14.400).

He recorded a career-high all-around score of 84.350 on March 8, the third-highest score nationally and the second-best in the Big Ten.
