Gophers running back Shannon Brooks was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday, marking the second time this season he's won that award.
Brooks rushed for 86 yards on 14 carries (6.1 average) against Iowa and threw his first career touchdown pass, a 42-yarder to Drew Wolitarsky in the fourth quarter.
Brooks also was named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week on Oct. 12, after his big performance against Purdue.
WISCONSIN GAME TIME SET
The last two regular season game times have been set. The Gophers will play Illinois this Saturday at 11 a.m. (televised on ESPNNews), and the Wisconsin game on Nov. 28 will be at 2:30 p.m., (televised by Big Ten Network). Both games are at TCF Bank Stadium.
