U faces another unbeaten
Preview: The Gophers and UNLV, two unbeaten teams will meet for the first time in 13 years. It's the fourth meeting in the series, but the first time the two have met in Las Vegas. The Gophers (6-0) defeated Wake Forest 93-81 on Saturday. UNLV (4-0) is coming off a 68-52 victory over Hofstra.
Players to watch: Gophers G Gadiva Hubbard, who was averaging 10.8 points per game, scored a season-high 25 points to lead the Gophers on Saturday. Rebels C Katie Powell, a 6-4 junior, is averaging 15.8 points and 11 rebounds per game. G Brooke Johnson, a 6-0 senior, is averaging 14 points and G Nikki Wheatley, a 5-5 junior, 13 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. Wheatley had 15 points and 12 rebounds against Hofstra.
