The Gophers on Saturday will face a Maryland team that will be down to its third-string quarterback.

Terrapins coach DJ Durkin announced Tuesday that freshman Kasim Hill suffered a torn ACL last week against Central Florida and will be lost for the season. Maryland's starter to open the season, sophomore Tyrrell Pigrome, tore an ACL against Texas and was lost for the season.

That leaves sophomore Max Bortenschlager as the top QB on Maryland's depth chart. Bortenschlager took over for Hill in the 38-10 loss to Central Florida. He went 15-for-26 for 132 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions, one that was returned for a TD.
