Gophers center Tyler Moore announced Monday on Twitter that he plans to transfer to another school. Moore started as a true freshman in 2015 and had made 20 consecutive starts before missing the Holiday Bowl because of a back injury.

Moore thanked former Gophers coach Jerry Kill for "taking a chance in me and believing in what I stand for."

"I will forever bleed maroon and gold," Moore continued, "but it is time for me to move into greener pastures."

The Gophers also had two players decommit — wide receiver Javan Hawes (Tyrone, Ga.) and running back Jakyle Holmes (Ponchatoula, La.). Both had committed under former coach Tracy Claeys.
