1. Mat Robson, Gophers: The sophomore goalie from Mississauga, Ontario, made 34 saves, including 15 in the third period, for the shutout. He improved to 2-1 on the season.

2. Darian Romanko, Gophers: The junior fourth-line center, known for his defensive play, broke a scoreless tie 3:10 into the third period.

3. David Hrenak, St. Cloud State: The Huskies freshman goalie from Slovakia, who played in the World Junior Championship, made 19 saves.

By the numbers

0-for-3 St. Cloud State on the power play. During their five-game winning streak against the Gophers, the Huskies were 11-for-25 with the man advantage.
