Gophers roll over Robert Morris in women's hockey

The No. 2 Gophers women's hockey team routed Robert Morris 6-1 on Friday night in a nonconference game at Ridder Arena, scoring three goals in 2 minutes, 7 seconds late in the opening period.

Grace Zumwinkle and Taylor Wente each had a goal and two assists for Minnesota (16-2-1), which has won nine games in a row. Zumwinkle made it 1-0 in the fifth minute. Emily Brown's goal at 13:34 of first period started the three-goal flurry. Wente scored a minute later and then Kelly Pannek to make it 4-1.

Nicole Schammel and Alex Woken had goals for the Gophers in the second.

Alex Gulstene made 20 saves for the Gophers, Lauren Bailey 21 for the Colonials (8-9-4), the first place team in College Hockey America.
