Gophers notes: Line takes another hit; Gannon visits practice

March 26, 2017 at 12:08AM

Sam Schlueter returned to practice, giving the Gophers six healthy offensive linemen, but then Quinn Oseland suffered a lower-body injury.

"For about three periods, we were plus-one, and now we're back to five," coach P.J. Fleck said. "We have some major depth issues that we have to fix."

Gannon visits

Rich Gannon, a four-time Pro Bowl quarterback with the Raiders and a former Viking, has attended multiple Gophers practices this week.

Fleck said Gannon pointed out a Gophers quarterback and said, "That guy reminds me of me. You know why? Because all I did was manage the offense and threw to the right people and made people around me better. You don't have to have this big arm. You just have to be efficient. You have to make decisive decisions."

Asked which quarterback Gannon was referencing, Fleck declined to be specific, saying, "He was talking about one of them."
