Andre McDonald, a highly recruited wide receiver from Hopkins, announced Thursday evening on KARE-11 that he has committed to the Gophers.
McDonald, who had 1,253 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior for the Royals, previously committed to both the Gophers and Vanderbilt before de-committing from both. McDonald is considered the No. 1 recruit in the state by Rivals.com.
Nothing is official until McDonald signs his national letter of intent. The signing period begins Wednesday.
