Gophers women's basketball player Kenisha Bell was named an honorable-mention All-America on Monday by the Associated Press.

A unanimous first-team All-Big Ten selection, Bell led the team by averaging 20.0 points and 6.8 assists per game. The junior set single-season school records for free throws made (187) and attempted (255) this year, while her assist total (223) and assist rate were both the second most in the past 37 years at Minnesota. Bell also averaged 5.4 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game.

The Gophers have had an AP All-America honoree in five of the past six seasons. Rachel Banham earned honorable-mention honors in 2013 and '14 and first-team honors in 2016. Amanda Zahui B. was a first-team pick in 2015.

• The Gophers women's gymnastics team will host a regional on April 7. Besides the Gophers, competing at the regional will be Denver, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky and Oklahoma. The top two teams and the top two all-around competitors not on an advancing team will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA championships April 20-21 in St. Louis.

• The No. 2 Gophers men's gymnastics team swept the Big Ten weekly awards for the second week in a row after a victory at Nebraska. Tristan Duran was gymnast of the week after posting the NCAA's second-highest all-around score of the season with an 84.150. Shane Wiskus was freshman of the week for the seventh time.

• St. Scholastica announced Mark Wick will not return as men's hockey coach after 14 seasons.
