For the second consecutive season Gophers women’s basketball guard Kenisha Bell was named an honorable mention All-America by the Associated Press.
Bell, who scored 1,754 points in a three-year career at Minnesota, averaged 19.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists as a senior. A transfer to the Gophers after playing one season at Marquette, Bell finished her college career with 2,188 points.
Bell was named a unanimous first-team All-Big Ten Conference selection. A strong candidate to be drafted in the three-round WNBA draft on April 10, Bell finished eighth on the Gophers women’s basketball all-time scoring list despite playing only three seasons.
