Noon vs. Iowa at Maturi Pavilion (BTN)

Preview: The No. 7 Gophers (8-1, 1-0 Big Ten) take on No. 4 Iowa (6-0, 1-0) for the 104th time. The Gophers are just 28-74-1 all-time against the Hawkeyes and haven't beaten them since 2014. The match everyone had been anticipating might not happen, as Iowa's No. 1-ranked heavyweight, Sam Stoll, is unlikely to wrestle because of an injury. He would have taken on the Gophers' No. 2 Gable Steveson.

Matchups of note: (Gophers listed first) No. 6 Sean Russell vs. No. 2 Spencer Lee at 125 pounds; at 133, No. 7 Ethan Lizak vs. No. 10 Austin DeSanto; at 141, No. 6 Mitch McKee vs. No. 15 Max Murin; at 149, No. 20 Tommy Thorn vs. No. 12 Pat Lugo; and at 157, No. 9 Steve Bleise vs. No. 5 Kaleb Young.

The Gophers played with more urgency, but it wasn’t enough to keep them from another conference sweep, and they lost LJ Mooney to injury in the process.
