Preview: After losses to No. 11 Ohio State and No. 3 Maryland, the Gophers (9-6, 0-2) play at Indiana, a team they have beaten in six of their past eight meetings. The Hoosiers (11-4, 1-1) tied a program record with 10 nonconference wins. In Big Ten play, they are 1-1, beating Penn State (89-70) but losing to the Buckeyes (92-82).

Players to watch: Bryanna Fernstrom, a 6-5 junior center, had eight points, seven rebounds and five blocked shots for the Gophers in Sunday's 83-72 loss to the Terrapins. It was her second game since becoming eligible and first start. Junior guard Carlie Wagner is averaging a team-high 18.3 points for Minnesota and has scored 20 or more seven times this season and 25 times in her career, but is shooting just 35 percent. Junior forward Amanda Cahill of Indiana is coming off a career-high 28 points against OSU on Saturday. She is averaging 15.3 points, second behind junior guard Tyra Buss at 19.7. Buss is making 83 percent of her free throws and is sixth on the Hoosiers' all-time list for most free throws made.

Numbers: The Gophers have committed 24 and 21 turnovers in their past two games. The Hoosiers rank fifth nationally with a 49.8 field goal percentage and are eighth in scoring at 83.1 points per game. Indiana had won seven in a row overall — and 25th consecutive at home — until Saturday's loss.
