The Gophers have struggled to stop the run in their three Big Ten losses:

Michigan State (L, 30-27)Spartans rushed for 245 yards, and all three of their TDs came on the ground.

Purdue (L, 31-17)Purdue had seven rushes for 6 yards or more in second half, including 12-yard TD to take late lead.

Maryland (L, 31-24)Terps' winning score was 34-yard run, capping a 262-yard rushing day for the visitors.

Big Ten games (0-3)Gophers have allowed 639 rushing yards (213 yard average) and 6 rushing touchdowns.
