Gophers senior Shane Wiskus was named the co-gymnast of the week by the College Gymnastics Association on Tuesday.

He was the conference co-champion in the all-around (84.700) — along with Michigan's Cameron Bock, the other co-gymnast of the week — and won three individual event titles at the Big Ten Championships this past Saturday.

The titles were the first four in the Big Ten meet of his career.

Shoreview women on Olympic sailing team

Shoreview native Lara Dallman-Weiss, a Mounds View High School graduate and member of White Bear Yacht Club, was named to the U.S. Olympic team for sailing.

Dallman-Weiss and Nikki Barnes recently finished seventh at the 470 world championships in Portugal to earn the berth at this summer's Tokyo Games. That event was the final Olympic qualifier for three American teams competing for the spot.

Award to SCSU wrestler

St. Cloud State heavyweight wrestler Kameron Teacher was named National Wrestling Coaches Association's Division II Wrestler of the Year.

Teacher, of Columbus, Ohio, was 13-0 and won an individual national title to help the Huskies win their third consecutive national championship.

• Melani Shaffmaster of the Gophers was named Big Ten setter of the week and outside hitter Taylor Landfair freshman of the week. Shaffmaster averaged 12.2 assists per set as the Gophers beat Iowa 3-0 twice in volleyball. Landfair had 19 kills.

• Arika Skoog, a former Eden Prairie resident, won the women's 152-pound title Saturday at the USA Boxing national championships in Shreveport, La. Skoog, who now lives in Boston, beat Sharahya Moreu of Albuquerque, N.M., on a unanimous decision.

• Junior defender Katie Koker was named the Big Ten defensive player of the week for her play in the Gophers' 1-1, double-overtime tie with Wisconsin.
