Add Tennessee Tech to the list of future Gophers football opponents. The Golden Eagles joined Florida Atlantic and Eastern Michigan as future nonconference opponents on Wednesday.

The Florida Atlantic (2020) and Eastern Michigan (2023) home games were reported earlier this month and made official Wednesday.

Tennessee Tech also visits in 2020, a week after FAU comes to TCF Bank Stadium for the Thursday night season opener.

Those two programs had much different seasons this past fall.

Tennessee Tech went 1-10. FAU, under coach Lane Kiffin, went 11-3, including 8-0 in conference, and pounded Akron 50-3 in the Boca Raton Bowl. Kiffin, 42, played quarterback at Bloomington Jefferson High School.

Tennessee Tech plays in the Ohio Valley Conference, FAU plays in Conference USA, and Eastern Michigan is a Mid-American team.

The Gophers have never played Eastern Michigan, which went 5-7 last season. The Eagles were the first 2023 opponent announced.

Minnesota's next four seasons' schedules are now complete.
