Zo Craighton, a Gophers cornerback who missed the final nine games of the 2017 season because of a knee injury, announced Monday in Twitter that he is transferring from Minnesota.

"After prayers and considerations I have decided to transfer from the University of Minnesota,'' Craighton tweeted. "I owe a huge thanks to Coach Kill for giving me the chance to play B1G Ten football. I also would like to thank the current coaching staff. There will always be a place in my heart for Minnesota. I made friends for life and I appreciate the fan base for all the support.''

Craighton, who would have been a redshirt junior in the 2018 season, finished the 2017 season with six tackles, including a career-high five against Middle Tennessee. The Geismar, La., native played in eight games as a freshman in 2016, making eight tackles and breaking up one pass. He redshirted in 2015.
