Easton Bertrand and Andrew Wilhite hit two-run homers and Gabe Knowles was 5-for-5 with two RBI as the Gophers routed St. Scholastica 14-4 on Tuesday in nonconference college baseball.

The victory was the 1,300th for Minnesota coach John Anderson. His career record is 1,300-874-3 in 38 seasons — only three active Division I coaches, Mike Martin of Florida State, Mike Fox of North Carolina and Paul Maineri of LSU, have more wins than Anderson, who turns 64 on May 16.

His contract runs through the 2020 season.

The remaining schedule is favorable, but their hopes of a late-season run were dulled by a home loss to the Terrapins.
