Gophers student-athletes combined to set a new school record for cumulative grade-point average over the spring semester, according to information released by the John & Nancy Lindahl Academic Center.
As a department, the Minnesota athletic department recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.44, beating last fall's mark of 3.41 for the school record. The Gophers have increased the department's cumulative GPA in seven straight semesters.
The department also recorded a term GPA of 3.51 for the spring semester — the third-highest figure in school history after 3.65 in the spring of 2020 and a 3.55 in the fall of 2020.
