They held tryouts for the Davies High School golf team at Rose Creek Golf Course in Fargo last week.

Collin Larson stepped up to the 140-yard fourth hole and bounced a ball off the cart path and into the hole from the tee with his 9 iron.

A few minutes later, the Fargo Forum reported, Brandon Winter did the same thing -- same club, same cart-path bounce.

"I didn't believe them at first," Larson told the Forum. "I thought they were messing with me, but I found out it was true when the coaches told me."

The pro at Rose Creek, Matt Cook, told Tom Mix of the Forum there are about 15 holes-in-one every year at the course, but this was only the second time there had been two in one day.

"I wish I would have been out at the course to see their reaction," Cook said.

By the way, no word out of Fargo on whether the boys made the team.
