Get out at the arb Santa's come and gone, but there's still plenty of holiday fun to be had at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Put on your parka and take a Hot Chocolate Walk at 11 a.m. Wednesday. On the guided walk ($10 for members, $12 for nonmembers), you'll learn about where wildlife hides away in winter. Of course, you're invited to warm up afterward with a cup of hot chocolate.

On Thursday, Hoigaard's will host a snowshoe event from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. They'll provide the snowshoes, explain the basics of Nordic walking and lead tours at 1, 2 and 3 p.m.

And on New Year's Eve day, the arb will offer free admission for skiers and snowshoers who bring their own gear, as part of its Ar-BRRR-retum day. For more information about events and entrance fees, go to www.arboretum.umn.edu.
