Garrison Wright commits to Gophers

The Gophers added their third junior college player to their projected Class of 2016.

The Gophers added another junior college offensive lineman to their 2016 recruiting class Sunday, when Garrison Wright, from Butler (Kan.) Community College, committed to Minnesota over TCU.

It's possible the Gophers could have two junior college transfers starting at guard next year -- the 6-5, 325-pound Wright, and the 6-4, 335-pound Vincent Calhoun, from Southwest Mississippi Community College.

The Gophers now have 18 players committed for the Class of 2016, and three are from junior colleges. Merrick Jackson, a defensive tackle from Iowa Western Community College, committed last week.
