Wolves hot, but Grizzlies are not

Wolves update: G Anthony Edwards won his second consecutive Western Conference rookie of the month award after averaging 21.6 points per game in April. He has grabbed exactly nine rebounds in four of his past five games. … The Wolves were supposed to play their second home game against the Grizzlies in January but that game was the only Wolves game postponed because of COVID issues. … They have lost both their matchups against the Grizzlies this season, most recently 120-108 in Memphis on April 2. … The Wolves have won five of their past seven games and in the two they lost, they led in the fourth quarter. … G D'Angelo Russell is three of 25 from three-point range in his past three games.

Grizzlies update: The Grizzlies have lost four of their past five, including a 118-104 loss to the Knicks on Monday in which G Ja Morant was ejected. … G Tyus Jones has averaged only 10 minutes per game in his past seven games. He's averaging only 3.3 shot attempts and 2.3 assists. … Morant is averaging 19.1 points per game, a slight increase from a season ago, but his rebounds (3.9) and assists (7.3) are the same. Memphis has the ninth-best defensive rating in the league at 110.4 points allowed per 100 possessions.
