Game affects draft-lottery odds

Wolves update: The Wolves started strong but sputtered in a 121-112 loss to Miami that featured three different players and coach Chris Finch getting technical fouls. D'Angelo Russell had 17 points before he was ejected in the third quarter. … The Wolves enter Sunday 20-47, one game behind the Magic and two other teams (Thunder, Cavaliers) in the standings. Sunday's game against Orlando and Tuesday's against Detroit, which is also 20-47, will have implications on the draft lottery odds for each. … Jaden McDaniels missed Friday's game to attend a family funeral. He's listed as out for personal reasons for Sunday's game, as well.

Magic update: The Wolves and Magic are two different teams from their last meeting on Jan. 20. In that game, Cole Anthony hit a three to beat the buzzer and complete a Wolves fourth-quarter collapse. Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic played in that game but Orlando traded both at the deadline. … Gary Harris arrived in Orlando in the trade that sent Gordon to Denver. Since joining the Magic, Harris is averaging 10.8 points per game. Anthony, in his rookie year, is averaging 12.3 points, fourth among rookies. … Terrence Ross (back), who is averaging 15.6 points per game, is out.
