Gameday preview: Wolves at Memphis

Preview: The Wolves start their season on the road for a third consecutive year. Wednesday's start date is the earliest in franchise history. … Memphis finished seventh in the West last season with a 42-40 record. The Wolves finished 13th with a 29-53 record.

Players to watch: The Wolves opened at Memphis two years ago with a 105-101 loss. Their starting lineup that night: Ricky Rubio, Andrew Wiggins, Corey Brewer, Thaddeus Young and Nikola Pekovic. This time around it'll be Rubio, Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Gorgui Dieng and Karl-Anthony Towns. … The Grizzlies have star center Marc Gasol back this season after he missed 30 games last season because of an injured foot, but he'll be a minutes restriction in a matchup against Karl-Anthony Towns. Free-agent signee Chandler Parsons missed the preseason because he's rehabilitating from knee surgery in March and will not play.

Injuries: Memphis F Parsons (knee rehab) and F Brandan Wright (ankle) are out. G Tony Allen (knee) is questionable.

The Wolves report no injuries.
