Gophers at a glance: As freshman Carlie Wagner poured in shot after shot in a 21-point second half Sunday, Gophers fans could finally breath a sigh of relief. After losing four of their past five games, the Gophers (18-6, 7-5 Big Ten) finally resembled the team that raced out to a program-best 16-2 start to the season and a No. 21 ranking. Wagner finished with a career-best 25 points in the 86-79 victory over Michigan State. Amanda Zahui B. had 16 points and 13 rebounds, and set a new program record for career blocks. Only a sophomore, Zahui has 199 blocks in less than two full seasons. The Gophers have a favorable schedule ahead of them. They play three of their next four games at home — where they are 10-2 — including today's game against a Wisconsin team they beat 72-60 in Madison on Jan. 4.

Badgers at a glance: Wisconsin (8-14, 4-8) comes to Williams Arena having lost five out of its past six games, including an 87-75 loss to No. 16 Iowa on Sunday. The Badgers trailed by just four at halftime, but the Hawkeyes opened the second half on a 19-2 run to pull away. Former Hill-Murray guard Tessa Cichy scored a career-high 20 points. In addition to Cichy, three other Minnesotans play for Wisconsin: Cassie Rochel of Lakeville North, Cayla McMorris of Park Center and AnnMarie Brown of St. Peter.
