Preview: This is the final stop on the Wild's three-game California road trip, which began with a 5-2 loss to the Kings before the Wild secured a 3-2 overtime win over the Ducks on Friday. It was the team's first victory on the road since Nov. 22 (5-4 over the Sabres). The Sharks were in action Saturday, hosting the Senators. Before that game, San Jose edged Carolina 5-4 in overtime Thursday — its fourth win in its previous six games.
Players to watch: Center Joe Thornton has 39 points in 44 career games vs. the Wild. Goalie Martin Jones is 11-7-1 with a 2.42 goals-against average and .919 save percentage this season. Center Logan Couture had a team-best 14 goals and 22 points entering Saturday.
Numbers: The Wild is 3-10-1 in its past 14 trips to San Jose. Winger Jason Zucker has 17 points in his past 16 games overall. San Jose is 6-1-2 against the Western Conference.
Injuries: Wild F Zach Parise (back surgery) and D Jared Spurgeon (groin strain) are out. Sharks Fs Mikkel Boedker (lower-body), Joonas Donskoi (lower body) and Barclay Goodrow (lower body) are also out.
