Preview: The Wild, 2-9-1 in its past 12 games against the Ducks, opens back-to-back games in Southern California in an arena where it has lost five of its past six and is 11-16-1 all-time. The Wild has lost four in a row overall and has been shut out in consecutive games. The Ducks, after getting off to a horrific start to this season, are 7-3-1 in their past 11.

Players to watch: Ducks C Ryan Kesler has scored 24 goals and 34 points against the Wild. RW Corey Perry and C Ryan Getzlaf each have 33 points in 37 games against the Wild. This season, Perry leads with 17 goals, the only Anaheim player with double-digit goals. Getzlaf has three goals in 40 games. Wild RW Jason Pominville has no points in 12 games since Dec. 22. C Mikael Granlund has one empty-net goal in the past 26 games. C Mikko Koivu has one empty-net goal and three assists in the past 15 games. LW Nino Niederreiter has two goals in 29 games since Nov. 14.

Numbers: The Wild is 6-for-63 on the road on the power play (9.5 percent, ranked 29th). The Wild's power play overall is 1-for-29 the past 15 games, 0-for-21 the past 10 games.

Injuries: Wild LW/RW Ryan Carter (hand) is out. Ducks D Simon Despres (upper body), D Cam Fowler (knee) and D Clayton Stoner (undisclosed) are out. G Frederik Andersen (back) is day-to-day. … Sami Vatanen (flu) is questionable for the Ducks.
