Preview: United FC has scored eight goals in two matches, taking all six points and rising to within three points of first place in the North American Soccer League standings.

United FC at a glance: The Loons are scoring goals in bunches of late, drilling Jacksonville 4-0 on July 15 and edging San Antonio 4-3 last Saturday. Minnesota's 10 goals in four fall season matches have come from seven players from defense to forward. The goals have come in a variety of ways, from solid passing to counters, crosses and set pieces. Christian Ramirez (three goals) combined with Daniel Mendes and Ibson (two each) to fuel much of the team's production. Minnesota has defeated Jacksonville in their past two meetings, scoring seven goals and conceding two.

Jacksonville at a glance: The Armada, a first-year club, rebounded from the shutout loss at Minnesota with an impressive 1-0 victory at home against New York, the spring season champion. Tommy Krizanovic found the back of the net to snap Jacksonville's three-match scoring drought. Despite the victory, the Armada are sitting at the bottom of the standings, with only 15 points to show for their effort and only three of those points coming in the fall season.
