Wolves face another game without Okogie, Towns

Wolves update: Josh Okogie will miss his second consecutive game because of a left hamstring strain that kept him out of Tuesday's game. … The Wolves have lost by 36 and 24 points in the two games they have played without Karl-Anthony Towns (left wrist). Naz Reid has scored 11 points in each of those games while starting for Towns. … Jarrett Culver will be trying to bounce back from a 0-for-10 performance against the Clippers. He did have 10 rebounds. … In mop-up duty, forward Jarred Vanderbilt came off the bench and had nine points and six rebounds in 15 minutes, 38 seconds of playing time. With Jake Layman and Juancho Hernangomez struggling, Vanderbilt made a case for cracking the rotation. Hernangomez is averaging just two points while shooting just 18%.

Wizards update: Russell Westbrook is spending his first season in Washington after the Wizards (0-5) traded John Wall to Houston in the offseason. In four games, Westbrook is averaging 19.8 points. … Rui Hachmiura made his season debut Thursday night after missing the first four games because of an eye injury and had 17 points in 25 minutes against Chicago. … Bradley Beal said he was frustrated after the team's winless start and skipped out on his postgame media session following Tuesday's loss to the Bulls. … In two games against the Wolves last season, Mo Wagner averaged 22 points, including a 30-point performance in a 137-116 Wizards win at Target Center in November.
