Gophers at a glance: The Gophers (10-2) are easing back into a normal schedule after playing one game in 17 days. In their past two games, guards Austin Hollins and Andre Hollins reached 1,000 career points, the former against South Dakota State in an impressive 20-point, 14-rebound performance. The latter reached the mark against Nebraska Omaha, while also recording the first double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds) That game featured two Gophers (center Elliott Eliason recorded 10 points and 12 rebounds) finishing with a double-double for the first time in three years. DeAndre Mathieu (27 points) and Malik Smith (19) also had momentous games against UNO.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi at a glance: The Islanders (3-9) come off a rough stretch after dropping seven games in a row. The Islanders play an extremely slow pace (ranked No. 346 in tempo), while turning over the ball on 18.1 percent of their possessions. Corpus Christi is making 34.7 percent of its three-pointers, with Cole Martinez (12-for-36) and Brandon Pye (9-for-21) providing a spark off the bench. John Jordan leads the team in scoring at 16.1 points a game.
