Preview: The 17-4 Blazers' 98-86 victory at Detroit on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive since they lost 112-99 at home to Memphis on Nov. 28. They started their five-game winning streak by beating the Wolves 107-93 in Portland 10 days ago. Wednesday's game is the third on a five-game trip that started with victories at New York and Detroit and ends Saturday at Indiana. … The Blazers lead the season series 1-0, have won the past four meetings between the teams and eight of the past nine.

Players to watch: Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge on Monday was named the Western Conference's Player of the Week after he averaged 27 points and 11.7 rebounds in a 3-0 week that included victories over Denver, Indiana and New York. It was the seventh time in his career he had been so named and during that week he surpassed Buck Williams and Mychal Thompson on Portland's career rebounding list. Blazers point guard Damian Lillard won the award earlier this season. … Blazers guard Wes Matthews made six three-pointers in that Nov. 30 game against the Wolves. It was the third consecutive game he made at least six threes. He became the first Blazer and fourth player in NBA history to accomplish that feat.

Injuries: Wolves G Ricky Rubio (sprained ankle), C Nikola Pekovic (ankle, sprained wrist), G Kevin Martin (wrist surgery) and F Ronny Turiaf (hip) are out. G Mo Williams has missed three consecutive games because of back spasms, didn't practice Tuesday and is doubtful. F Shabazz Muhammad (ankle) is expected to play. … Blazers G C.J. McCollum is listed as out because of a fractured right index finger.
