Gameday preview: New season, new home for St. Paul Saints

Thursday night's home opener is sold out at the Saints' new home.

OPENING DAY, SAINTS STYLE

More than 7,000 fans are expected Thursday as the Saints open their 23rd season and christen their new home, CHS Field, with a four-game series against Fargo-Moorhead.

When: 7:05 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday; 5:05 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets: Seats for the opener are sold out. However, 232 tickets for the grass berm along with standing-room tickets for the home-run porch will go on sale at 9 a.m. Thursday. Tickets are $5 for the berm and $7 for standing room; they can be purchased at the box office.

Opening night: Live music, a Mardi Gras-style parade and local dignitaries highlight pregame activities. St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman will throw out the first pitch.

This year's pig (above): The Saints also will introduce the 2015 pig mascot, Pablo Pigasso.
