Preview: Minnesota will play one exhibition game against the Mexican youth national team in the Hybrid Friendlies series, part of the U21 team's U.S. summer tour. United said it's expecting to attract a sellout crowd for the game, which will be followed by fireworks.

United FC at a glance: After winning the spring season and then losing its second match in the U.S. Open Cup, United is preparing for the fall season opener July 12.

Mexico U21 at a glance: The next-generation World Cup team tied the San Antonio Scorpions 3-3 on June 28. Most players compete in the Mexican league. But Jorge Espericueta plays for Villarreal's second team in Spain, and Richard Sánchez is on the reserve team of the MLS side FC Dallas.
