Gameday preview: L.A. Clippers at Wolves

Preview: The 46-27 Clippers have won three consecutive games counting Monday's 114-90 home rout of Boston. Wednesday is the start of a quick two-game trip that takes them to Oklahoma City for a TNT game on Thursday. … Clippers veteran forward Paul Pierce sprained his ankle and bruised his knee Monday in a nasty fall that looked more serious than it was. … The Clippers remain without star forward Blake Griffin — he partly tore a quad tendon Dec. 26 — but he's returning Tuesday. … The Wolves have won three of their past four games. … The Clippers lead the season series 2-1.

Players to watch: Wolves young star Andrew Wiggins scored 31 points and made the tiebreaking jump shot with 47.6 seconds left the last time these teams played, when the Wolves won at Staples Center in February. Chris Paul had 22 points and DeAndre Jordan had 18 points and 15 rebounds for the Clippers.

Injuries: Wolves F Kevin Garnett (sore knee) and C Nikola Pekovic (sore ankle) remain out indefinitely. Griffin is out while he serves the second game of a four-game suspension for punching a team employee. Pierce is listed as doubtful.
