Gameday preview: Gophers vs. Rutgers

Minnesota (17-14, 6-12 Big Ten): The 11th-seeded Gophers are coming off their eighth loss by six points or fewer after Penn State's DJ Newbill drilled a three-pointer at Williams Arena to push the Nittany Lions past the home team 79-76. Mo Walker, who along with Andre Hollins received an Big Ten honorable mention, did have a career day, recording a new season-high 26 points to go along with 11 rebounds.

Rutgers (10-21, 2-16): It's been a rough first season in the Big Ten for the last-seeded Scarlett Knights. Following a 67-62 home upset over eventual league champion Wisconsin, Rutgers has dropped 14 straight, two losses shy of the longest skid in the program's 108-year history and the longest since 1987-88. The Scarlet Knights lost to the Gophers 89-80 in their only game this season.
