8 P.M. VS. Northwestern Williams ARENA • TV: BTN; 1500-AM

Gophers: The Gophers’ three-game winning streak came to an end Sunday when they traveled to Indiana and were crushed 90-71. Minnesota (16-10, 5-8 Big Ten) forced 18 Indiana turnovers but also allowed 18 three-pointers, a school record for the Hoosiers and a Minnesota record for threes allowed. The Gophers also lost the battle on the boards 35-16. Andre Hollins (23 points, two assists) led the team in scoring for the third game in a row and has for seven of the past eight.

Northwestern: The Wildcats (11-14, 2-10), conversely, stopped a 10-game losing streak Sunday, topping Iowa 66-61 in overtime at home. Hawkeyes wing Jarrod Uthoff sank a three-pointer at the end of regulation, even with Northwestern freshman Vic Law all over him, to tie the score, but the Wildcats won it with free throws in the extra period. Freshman guard Bryant McIntosh scored 18 points, and center Alex Olah had a massive game, putting up 11 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. The Wildcats held Iowa to 32.3 percent shooting from the field. It was Northwestern’s first victory of 2015 after enduring its longest slide since the 1999-2000 season.
