7 P.M. VS. furman • Williams ARENA • No TV, 1500-AM

Minnesota at a glance: The Gophers are coming off perhaps their best all-around performance of the year, albeit against a less-than-intimidating Seattle team. Minnesota shot 55 percent, piled up 16 steals — 12 in the first half — with pressure defense and added 24 assists to 11 turnovers. Junior college transfer Carlos Morris, posted a career scoring high with 19 points and senior point guard DeAndre Mathieu made a career-high six steals. Andre Hollins is averaging 18.2 points in his past five games.

Furman at a glance: The Paladins — that's a warrior in Charlemagne's court — finished second-to-last in the Southern Conference last year and don't appear to be on an upward trend. Junior guard Stephen Croone is the focal point of the offense with 18.1 points per game. Furman, 2-7, has only one senior on the roster.
