Junior college transfer Carlos Morris, posted a career scoring high with 19 points and senior point guard DeAndre Mathieu made a career-high six steals. Andre Hollins is averaging 18.2 points in his past five games.
Furman at a glance: The Paladins — that's a warrior in Charlemagne's court — finished second-to-last in the Southern Conference last year and don't appear to be on an upward trend. Junior guard Stephen Croone is the focal point of the offense with 18.1 points per game. Furman, 2-7, has only one senior on the roster.
