Gameday predictions: Week 3

September 20, 2008 at 8:07PM

PLAYER MATCHUP OF THE WEEK

Cowboys WR Terrell Owens vs. Packers CB Al Harris Owens caught seven passes for 156 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' 37-27 victory over the visiting Packers last year. Most of the damage came against Harris. The Packers haven't exactly explained how they'll cover T.O. in the rematch, but the team still has faith in Harris, so there will be some one-on-one coverage.
COACHING MATCHUP OF THE WEEK

49ers offensive coordinator Mike Martz vs. Lions head coach Rod Marinelli Marinelli and Martz (shown) never were a good marriage during their time together in Detroit. Martz likes to throw the ball and take chances. Marinelli is an old-school coach who likes to run the ball and limit risks. Marinelli fired Martz after last season. It hasn't helped. Detroit is 0-2 and could fall to 0-3 because of a 49ers passing attack designed by Martz and run by former Lions QB J.T. O'Sullivan.
HERO OF THE WEEK

Fred Taylor, RB, Jaguars At 32, Taylor is the oldest player leading his team in rushing. The Jaguars' interior offensive line has been decimated by injuries and has contributed to Jacksonville ranking an uncharacteristically low 28th in rushing. But the guess here is Taylor and the Jaguars will find happiness in Indianapolis, where the Colts will be without run-stopping safety Bob Sanders.
FANTASY PICKS by Chris Carr
