Rubio shows versatility

Ricky Rubio scored a career-high 24 points to go with 10 assists, five rebounds and five steals to lead the Wolves to a 105-93 victory over Phoenix on Saturday at Target Center, ending a three-game losing streak.

Rubio became the fourth player this year — and just the third in Wolves history — to have 20 or more points, 10 or more assists, and five or more rebounds and steals in a game.

The Wolves outscored Phoenix 55-40 in the second half en route to becoming the first Timberwolves team without Kevin Garnett to win 30 games in a season (30-50). The Wolves tied a franchise high with 17 steals while forcing 28 Suns turnovers.

"It took us a while to get in the game," said coach Rick Adelman after career victory 1,001. "But it's a good win. Gets us back to .500 at home [20-20]. I'm just glad to get off the 1,000 thing, move on here."

It was Rubio's seventh game with at least five points, rebounds, assists and steals, tying him with LeBron James (2004-05) and Chris Paul (2008-09) for the most in a single season over the past 15 years.

17 Steals by the Wolves, led by Rubio's five.
