Preview: The Wolves, having lost back-to-back games by more than 20 points, get to play a Spurs team that has the best record in the Western Conference. The Spurs are battling to keep that No. 1 spot in the West; they were one game ahead of Oklahoma City entering Monday's game.
Players to watch: Wolves F Derrick Williams has averaged 19.3 points and 9.1 rebounds in his past eight games. F Mickael Gelabale has scored 32 points on 14-for-24 shooting the past two games. Entering Monday's game, Spurs F Kawhi Leonard was averaging 14.1 points and 1.5 steals and F Tim Duncan had scored 36 points with 18 rebounds and five blocks in his past two games.
Numbers: The Spurs have gone 2-1 in three games since G Tony Parker sprained his left ankle. The Wolves have allowed an average of 102.8 points in their past nine games.
Injuries: Wolves F Kevin Love (hand surgery), F Chase Budinger (knee surgery), G Malcolm Lee (hip and knee surgery) and G Brandon Roy (right knee) are out. F Andrei Kirilenko (left calf) and C Nikola Pekovic (abdominal strain) are doubtful. Spurs G Parker (ankle) is out.
