It's been a pretty good week for Neil Gaiman, and it was only Tuesday. The Twin Cities-based writer found out Monday that his novel "The Graveyard Book" won the Newbery medal for children's literature. On Tuesday, he announced during an appearance on the "Today" show that the novel will be made into a movie, written and directed by Neil Jordan, of "The Crying Game" and "The End of the Affair." No word yet on when production might begin or who might star in the movie, according to Gaiman's assistant, Lorraine Garland. LAURIE HERTZEL
