“Full House” star John Stamos was cited for DUI in Beverly Hills on Friday night and arrested by police at a local hospital.
Around 7:30 p.m, several motorists reportedly phoned cops to complain about a silver Mercedes Benz driving erratically on Canon Drive, not far from the famed Rodeo Drive. Police located the car and found Stamos at the wheel, who appeared to need immediate medical attention.
After doctors confirmed his intoxication, Stamos was booked on the spot and released into doctor’s care. He’s slated to appear in court on the misdemeanor charge on September 11.

The court date comes on top of a crowded fall for the actor, his busiest season in recent years. Stamos will star in Fox’s comedy “Grandfathered,” and is currently prepping the highly anticipated reboot of “Full House’ with Netflix.
Stamos is an executive producer on the revival of the 90s family sitcom, which will see most of its original cast make return appearances, including Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber. Actors Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will not return.
Lifetime TV is capitalizing on the nostalgia, and simultaneously prepping an unauthorized behind-the-scenes movie about the making of the original.
