FSN, Dish Network, Charter reach deals on Twins

April 8, 2011 at 4:46AM

Dish Network and Charter Communications made deals Thursday morning to assure that their subscribers will see Saturday's Twins game on Fox Sports North. Mediacom, which serves homes in Excelsior and much of Iowa, and Cable One, which is prominent in Fargo, N.D., have yet to strike a deal with FSN. Those two providers make up about 9 percent of population that gets the channel.

FSN increased the number of games it carried after reaching an agreement with the Twins to become the team's exclusive home. Twins President Dave St. Peter said earlier in the week that the team is taking the situation seriously.

"Accessibility of the product is essential for our brand," he said. "It is our belief that any hiccups will be resolved in the future."
