WE SPOTTED IT

Sherwin-Williams has introduced a new collection of paint with designer finishes. The Faux Impressions Specialty Finishes collection includes paints that mimic the look of metallic, stone, artisan and Old World finishes. It also offers a website (sherwin-williams.com/faux), where you can download "detailed how-to brochures and videos" to help you get the look you want.

DO IT NOW

If your lawn is looking thin, now's a great time to put down some new grass seed. After you spread seed, apply a fertilizer designed to be used with new grass seed and water regularly. Don't use any weed killers until spring.

DON'T MISS THIS

The Eco Experience at the State Fair has been drawing green-leaning visitors since 2006. This year, the interactive exhibit will feature a model neighborhood for green living. Green Street will include commercial and residential buildings that house educational displays about: green building certification; green materials, including roofing, siding and flooring; products to make your existing house more energy-efficient; eco options for interiors, including countertops and cabinets; and mechanical workings. The street will be landscaped with native plantings, porous pavers and a community garden. Experience the Eco Experience from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the fair (Thursday through Sept. 6) in the Progress Center at the corner of Randall and Cosgrove Streets.

The "winners" have all been Turkeys, no matter the honor's name.

In this photo taken Monday, March 6, 2017, in San Francisco, released confidential files by The University of California of a sexual misconduct case, like this one against UC Santa Cruz Latin Studies professor Hector Perla is shown. Perla was accused of raping a student during a wine-tasting outing in June 2015. Some of the files are so heavily redacted that on many pages no words are visible.
