• SIMLEY 51, RICHFIELD 49: Balanced scoring -- Simley had four players in double figures -- and a strong defensive effort trumped a big game from a superstar. Simley took an eight-point halftime lead and held off a second-half comeback attempt by No. 2, 3A Richfield. Aejah Lockett scored 12 points, Abby Kain and Alexis Boyd-Lockett 11 apiece and Kylie Brown 10 for Simley. Jessica January led Richfield with 26 points, her third game in a row with 26 or more points. The 49 points were a season low for Richfield.

• EASTVIEW 59, LAKEVILLE NORTH: Using the formula that has led to success all season, No. 2, 4A Eastview improved to 8-0 with a comfortable victory over the No. 10, 4A Panthers. Tyra Johnson scored 20 points and Madison Guebert scored 15 for Eastview, which converted 25 of 30 free throw attempts.
